Author's POV
Uday Mahal was once again adorned with lights, flowers, and the echoes of shehnais. In the grand courtyard of the palace, two wedding mandaps were decorated with royal Rajput splendor. Today, Kunwar Amritya and Abhedya were getting married in a proper, traditional ceremony before the entire society and family. Yogita and Sanchita sat with their heads bowed, dressed in their heavy red bridal attire. Though it seemed like a magnificent celebration from the outside, the silent wall of hatred and fear between these two couples was something only they could truly feel.
Amidst this celebration, another piece of great, genuine joy was announced for Uday Mahal. Hukum Sa declared before the whole family that Kunwar Mitulya's marriage had also been fixed with a girl chosen by the family. Mitulya had agreed! Kanushi (Kanu) had tears of joy in her eyes, and a relieved smile played on Phool's face, knowing that the plan she and her "team" had concocted had finally succeeded.
Phool looked absolutely stunning today. She wore a heavy Rajputi dress in deep blue, adorned with intricate golden work. She wore a jeweled necklace, a rakhdi on her forehead, and there was a strange, magnetic pull in her eyes. Her breathtaking beauty was the talk of the entire palace gathering, but her own eyes were searching for just one person—her "Hukum."
On the other hand, Kunwar Kritveerya Singh Rathore (Krit) was in a similar state. Dressed in a black, royal Jodhpuri suit, he looked no less than a king, but the heart of this invincible lion was aching for his "Chiraiya." Since the morning's scolding and misunderstanding, Phool had barely even looked him in the eye. Krit's heart urged him to go right then, take Phool in his arms, apologize to her in front of everyone, and kiss her forehead.
Deep down, Phool was also desperate to talk to Krit. She regretted her childish behavior. She wanted to go to him, rest her head on his chest, and tell him that her memory had returned.
